The summary of our Journey and our Obligation to pass along the experiences and blessings that we have recieved by taking a course of action is not lost entirely in the Fellowship of AA today. Many alcohloics that I encounter wish to enlarge their Spiritual Life and find that the answer does come to the forefront if they accept the suggestions offered in these 164 pages. For those who have embarked on this Journey, I'm sure you will agree that carrying the true message can sometimes be a daunting task. There are struggling alcoholics out there from one day to decades of being separated from a drink, and struggling still because of a resistance to accept the principles offered in this Spiritually guided text, whom I'd love to simply 'give' to them the answer of which I have been shown. But it doesn't work that way. As the Steps are a program of attraction, I can only offer myself as an example of one who has been lifted up from the 'scrapheap of life'. My newly and God given outlook will never be a package that I can just deliver to those who really need it. Instead, it can be passed on to those who make the approach and 'want Him enough' to change. My advice to those who don't want serenity, usefullness and a dramatic change in life's outlook - Don't do the actions which are outlined this text. Because, if you do, you will be 'inwardly rearranged.' But if you want Peace, feel free to 'join us on the Broad Highway.' It's as simple as learning to count to Twelve, and then teaching the newcomer to experience the same....
